Board of Commissioners
The Board of Commissioners plays a vital role in the operation, management, and future expansion of a Utility District. A commissioner is responsible for overseeing a multitude of duties such as policy and regulations, budgets, management, review system performance, as well as planning for upcoming projects. The Board of Commissioners also represents the districts community and provides a way for their voice to be heard.
If you would like to be placed on the Upcoming Board Meeting Agenda, please contact our office at 865-690-2521 to speak directly with Ms. Manuel in order to be properly placed on a future board meeting agenda. The next scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting will be held September 17th, at 8:00 am. Please contact the office no later than three business days prior to the Board Meeting you wish to attend.
The three Board members serve four-year terms. Only persons who reside within the District's boundaries or who are customers of the District shall be eligible for appointment to the board. “Customer" means a person who is regularly billed and pays for a utility service rendered by the District.
West Knox Utility District is not actively accepting commissioner applications. However, if you would like to submit an application, the district would be pleased to retain it for viewing upon the next available commissioner opening.
West Knox Utility District is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin or age.
